Hollywood star actress, Viola Davis has revealed that she had some help from the heavens in landing her now-husband, Julius Tennon.

On Monday, June 23, the award-winning movie star, 59, celebrated her 22nd wedding anniversary with her husband.

The G20 star took to her page to share a sentimental Instagram post dedicated to Tennon, 71, and their love story — which spans more than two decades.

The tribute was paired with sweet videos of the pair looking at each other lovingly while taking photos.

She went further to talk about how she went on her knees and prayed to God to give him the man of her dreams – a man who would embrace both her gifts and her brokenness and the rest is history today.

In the caption, The Woman King actress wrote:

“22 years!!! I got on my knees and prayed for love – an active, unconditional love. Someone who would embrace both my gifts and my brokenness. And then my Julius came to me… and I to him. Happy Anniversary, my King. l love you deep!”

Davis and Tennon first met in 1999 on the set of the CBS series City of Angels. The pair got married in 2003 and founded JuVee Productions, through which they co-produced G20, in 2011. The actors and producers share one daughter — 14-year-old Genesis.

“We have so much respect for one another and then we both kind of have the same synergy,” Tennon said on the red carpet. “So it just flows with us.”

We have it like that,” Davis added, while also citing the couple’s shared “respect” for each other. “I tell you all the time ‘We’re the one!’ “
