When it comes to the stereotypical anime fighting game experience, there are few that embody it as much as BlazBlue. But for fans who enjoy the mix of unapologetic anime madness and flashy combat, the upcoming release of BlazBlue Entropy Effect on July 22nd is sure to be welcome!
A hack 'n' slash roguelite spin-off of the original BlazBlue series, Entropy Effect takes you away from the main plot in favour of pure action. You'll be drawn into a cyberpunk world where people have retreated into a cyberspace landscape called Ace in an attempt to solve the crises plaguing the world.
Naturally, you've got a way to solve it, with flashy combos and powers that you pick and choose from 14 different characters from the BlazBlue series. There are literally hundreds of moves and dozens of combos to uncover that let you smash 'n' slash your way through enemies like the shonen hero you've always wanted to be.
Neon fury
It may sound as if I'm being sarcastic here, but in all honesty, as shamelessly anime-style as the BlazBlue series is, that's not necessarily a bad thing. And Entropy Effect truly doubles down on that with all manner of bold, flashy action that's packed with spectacular effects that seem to pop even on a small screen.For fans of the series wanting to have a go at something where they get to see their favourite character's moves in action outside of a one-on-one, this is a must-play. And for the rest of us, it's well worth seeing what all the fuss is about.
